Amenities
The amenities at Molokai have been developed over the years to enhance the enjoyment and relaxation of our residents. You can walk through our scenic neighborhood, ride your bike through our friendly community streets, drive your golf cart through the park to visit friends and neighbors. Molokai is a semi-tropical hidden gem in Leesburg, FL where you can enjoy great seasonal weather year around while relaxing and living the good life.
Clubhouse: The clubhouse, a great place to be, as there are lots of activities going on. This is where we hold our Board of Director meetings, potlucks, bingo, pool, karaoke, dances, arts and crafts, host movie events, coffee and donuts, Holiday Dinners, Dances, etc. The list of events that are held in the club is too expensive to list everything. The best way to know what events are being held is to read The Observer, which is published monthly by the MRA (Social Club).
Pool: Molokai offers a heated swimming pool area for use by the residents. The pool is heated during the cooler season for your year-round enjoyment. There are weekly swimming aerobics classes in season hosted and run by fellow residents.
Post office: There is a centralized postal center where residents can receive and send outgoing mail. The Molokai Postal Center is located at the far end of the clubhouse parking area.
Shuffleboard: Just outside of the clubhouse there are several shuffleboard courts. Shuffleboard is a game of skill where players slide weighted pucks down a court into a marked scoring area.
Horseshoes: Just outside of the clubhouse and next to the Shuffleboard courts there are several horseshoe pits for your enjoyment. Horseshoes is a lawn game played by two or four people using four horseshoes and two stakes. The objective is to toss your horseshoes toward the stakes and score points by encircling or landing near them.
Cornhole: Cornhole is also known regionally as sack toss, or bean bag toss is a lawn game popular in North America in which players or teams take turns throwing fabric bean bags at an inclined board with a hole in its far end. The goal of the game is to score points by either landing a bag on the board (one point) or putting a bag through the hole (three points).
RV/Boat Storage: The community has a secure area with assigned spots for storage of campers, boats, and storage trailers (based on availability).
Commercial Kitchen: Inside of the clubhouse is a community commercial kitchen that is used to prepare community meals during special events such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.
Pool/Game Room: Within the clubhouse there is a separate game room with 2 standard pool tables as well as a poker table.
Library: Inside of the clubhouse there is a community library for the use of the residents with a wide selection of books and movies. This area is maintained by volunteer residents.
